Storage tariffs

Our storage tariffs are market-based. RWE Gas Storage offers available firm storage capacity in electronic auctions with the exception of daily firm capacity. This therefore applies to new (1 to 15 years) and existing (1 to 5 years) yearly storage capacity as well as monthly capacity (1 to 12 months). The company announces all auctions on its website. Storage capacity is offered as a bundle of working gas volume, injection and withdrawal capacity or separately.

A minimum price is set for each auction and published together with the relevant terms and conditions on our website several weeks or months prior to auction, depending on the type of capacity offered. To bid in an auction, customers need to register in the company’s Auction System.

The price of interruptible capacity is determined based on the pay-as-bid principle, with the highest bids being the least likely to be interrupted. The minimum price is currently CZK 10 / MWh of interruptible injection or withdrawal capacity.

RWE Gas Storage publishes the price of firm daily capacity whenever such capacity becomes available. Daily firm capacity can be requested electronically.

The price for the service of the guaranteed reverse capacities consist of the fixed monthly price of CZK 2 for the reservation of 1 MWh of the daily guaranteed reverse capacity and the performance component of the price in the amount of CZK 8 for each 1 MWh of the used injection or withdrawal capacity.
